Through the winters a good supply of wood for your fireplace or wood burning stove is necessary, yet the show of the almonds in bloom lets you forget all about the night chills... and summers leave you exhausted and wishing for some cooling down. Festival de la Ermita de las Tres Cruces de Almogía, Cártama y Pizarra: En un enclave rural entre cuatro municipios, este festival de mayo se celebra en la Ermita de las Tres Cruces, un santuario del siglo XVIII. Declarado Fiesta de Interés Turístico Nacional de Andalucía, reúne a pandas de verdiales, degustaciones gastronómicas y el tradicional baile de la Churripampa, creando un ambiente único. Una fusión de cultura y folclore que mantiene viva la enseñanza y difusión de los verdiales en un entorno histórico y de una belleza natural impresionante.
Festival de Verdiales de Villanueva de la Concepción: El Festival de Verdiales de Villanueva de la Concepción es un tributo a uno de los estilos más tradicionales de música andaluza, y una de las señas de identidad de la provincia de Málaga. Cada agosto, se reúnen numerosas Pandas para celebrar el evento, que cuenta con la participación de los mejores grupos en tres modalidades: Comares, Almogía y los Montes. El festival celebra la rica tradición del Verdial, con una competencia vibrante que se extiende hasta altas horas de la madrugada. Además de las danzas y cantes, los asistentes pueden disf rutar de la gastronomía local.
